The analysis of FCM clustering has been widely used in slopes stability evaluation, but the traditional FCM algorithm has the problem of sensitive on its initial clustering center value. Genetic algorithm is introduced to overcome the problem, and put forward the analysis of FCM clustering based on genetic algorithm. With concrete examples, use the analysis of FCM clustering based on genetic algorithm to evaluate the slope stability, then pattern recognition. The results show that the analysis of FCM clustering based on genetic algorithm overcome the problem of sensitive on the initial clustering center value, what the analysis of traditional FCM clustering has the results are much better than the analysis of traditional FCM clustering.
