A non-contact device for measurement and control of the length of electrically conductive objects based on the use of a resonant meter of the input impedance of whip antennas is described. In measurements, the object is used as a quarter-wave whip antenna and the form of the frequency response of the measuring circuit is recorded when the antenna is connected. The measurement technique and the results of an experimental study are presented.
