BAT AN has committed to promoted and strong implementation of nuclear security culture in order to enhance nuclear security at respective research reactors as well as to anticipate of the Indonesia embarking nuclear power plant in the future particular for the important of human factor as an asset in nuclear security. In order to promote security culture to become familiar for entire workforces, BATAN/Indonesia has conducted a self-assessment on nuclear security culture. The first self-assessment trial was conducted in 2012-2013 and the second self-assessment of nuclear security culture was conducted in 2015-2016 for nuclear research reactors. Indonesia has also institutionalized nuclear security culture through internalized the security culture at 8 centers in the nuclear Serpong area in 2019. After two self-assessments and internalization within 4 years, an evaluation of employees' understanding of nuclear security culture was conducted. Evaluation is carried out by using on-line survey approach. The survey was designed to determine employee understanding of several indicators of nuclear security culture. There are the regime of nuclear security, the characteristics of nuclear security culture, the relationship between security culture and safety culture and nuclear security threats. This survey shows how employees' understanding of the nuclear security culture after two self-assessments and internalization has been carried out over a period of 4 years, what factors need to be improved again and whether the methods carried out so far have been able to make employees understand about the nuclear security culture.
