摘要

The development of photoactive materials,workable under visible light,is highlyrequired to efficiently utilize the abundantly present,non-hazardous visible light.Amongthese materials,the Ag/AgX (X = Cl and Br) Janus nanoparticles (JNPs),comprising of twodistinct phases (Ag and AgBr phase),are the model hetero-structures that havesynergistically enhanced photocatalytic activity.The conventional methods used for thepreparation of Ag/AgX JNPs,suffer from some issues like,the undefined control over thebreaking of structural symmetry,sustainability,and the complexity of the method employed.Hence,the development of benign and easily implementable methods for the preparation ofsymmetry controlled Ag/AgX JNPs for catalytic applications under sunlight or white light isa challenging task.
