Highly Enantioselective Acyl Rearrangement of OxindoleDerivatives Using Helically Chiral Poly(quinoxaline-2,3-diyl)sBearing DMAP-Type Pendants

We have established chiral macromolecular catalysts on the basis of single-handedhelical poly(quinoxaline-2,3-diyl)s (PQX),whose screw-sense is switchable either to P-or Mhelixby solvents.Recently,we reported Steglich rearrangement of azlactone derivatives usinga helically chiral nucleophilic polymer catalyst (PQXap),which have achiral 4-(dialkylamino)pyrid-3-yl pendants onto the PQX scaffold.This catalyst showed highenantioselectivities derived from single-handed helical structure of PQX.To explore newpossibility of the helical polymer catalyst,we examined asymmetric acyl rearrangement ofoxindole derivatives2 using PQXap as chirality-switchable catalysts.
