摘要

Helicenes have been attracting attention because of their chiroptical properties derived from the helical molecular structure. However, circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) of unsubstituted helicenes are weak due to its low fluorescence quantum yield (?f ≤ 0.04) and small CPL dissymmetry factor (gCPL). In this work, we introduced phenyl group into the edge of [5]helicene to expand π-conjugation with helical chirality.
