摘要

Bacteriorhodopsin (bR) is a light-driven proton pump occurring in archaeal purple membrane where bR forms trimers with surrounding phospholipids. PGP-Me (1), one of archaeal major lipids, is thought to play an important role in the structural conservation and activity of bR.1 However, their interaction mechanism has not well understood due to the highly flexible nature of lipid molecules in membrane. Therefore, we aim to investigate the mechanism underlying the bR-lipid interactions by means of solid-state NMR.
