With its rising incidence, methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus has recently become one of the main causative pathogens of hospital associated infections. Hasunuma et al. have elucidated the photoinactivation effect of white light-emitting diode (LED) light on S. aureus, which can arrest S. aureus growth .
