In this research, a simple technique for fabrication of superhydrophobic coating was prepared via spraying hydrophobic carbon nanoparticles suspension on aluminum alloy surface. The static water contact angle and sliding angle on the silica nanoparticle depostied aluminum alloy surface were 160 ± 1° and 5°, respectively. In addition, the as-prepared superhydrophobic surface exhibited excellent self-cleaning property. This approach may open a new way in the fabrication of superhydrophobic surfaces with self-cleaning property.
