It is widely accepted that employee involvement and participation (EIP) is a key component of the high commitment bundle of human resource management. And two of the key factors that may influence EIP levels are organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Drawing on the WERS04 management cross section and employee surveys which has 2,300 workplaces, 1,000 employee representatives and 22,500 employees took part in the 2004 Cross-section Survey for analysis, this paper examines the relationship between EIP, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction.
