Research on the Effects of Social Capital on the Operation of Agricultural Cooperatives: the Case of Sichuan Province, China

摘要

Based on the social capital theory and survey data of 211 cooperatives in Sichuan Province of China, this study has been performed in order to analysis the effect of social capital on the operation of agricultural cooperatives by factor analysis method and regression model. The analysis software is SPSS 17.0. Results show that trust factor and network factor have a negative effect on specialized agricultural cooperatives operating performance at the level of 10% and 5%, but the impact of norm factor is not significance. Moreover, years of business and number of members have a positive impact on cooperatives Operating Performance.
