In this paper, literature, Delphi, contrast and logic analysis are used to study the connotation, nature, category and extension of the concept of “physical ability” in the context of the new coronavirus epidemic. On the scientific basis of the mainstream concepts at home and abroad, the five-dimensional and three-level elements that affect the concept of physical fitness are logically constructed, and a new idea and perspective are provided for the development of the concept of physical fitness from outside to inside. The results show that the definition of physical fitness concept is divided into broad sense and narrow sense. The broad concept of physical fitness is understood as: “It refers to the basic ability of people to participate in sports under the conditions of innate foundation (such as heredity, living environment, living habits, etc.) and acquired (such as labor, foundation or special training, etc.). It refers to the basic ability of people to participate in sports.” Understand the narrow concept of physical fitness as: “In particular, a certain group of people (such as ordinary people, athletes, soldiers, etc.) through the body to show the speed, strength, endurance, agility, flexibility and other basic sports ability.” The essential attribute of physical ability is the basic movement ability. In the category of constructing the concept of physical fitness, two elements of “physical health” and “motor skills” are added, and physical health is the basic premise of all elements of physical fitness. Its extension is manifested in the speed, strength, endurance, agility and flexibility of human sports.
