In order to clarify the evolution path of the collaborative innovation network of China's non-ferrous metals industry, based on the joint invention patent data of industry, academia, and research in China's non-ferrous metals industry from 2000 to 2017, the spatial state of the collaborative innovation network is studied using social network analysis methods, and the information entropy measurement network is introduced. According to the order of evolution, it is found that the network evolution has experienced three stages of groping formation, disordered expansion and rapid expansion. Based on this, the development of collaborative innovation in China's non-ferrous metal industry is analyzed and prospected.
