The Implications of 'Language Games' in English Teaching

"Language games", as a key term in Wittgenstein's later philosophy, emphasizes the everyday usage of language. This concept not only plays a revolutionary role in the development of philosophy but also provides new insights into language teaching. The thesis explores the implications of "language games" to language teaching in aspects of the three relevant notions of forms of life, family resemblance and rule ruling, providing new insights into English teaching in China from the perspective of language philosophy.
