Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) is the cause of great economic losses to the swine industry.1 Modified live PRRSV vaccines commonly produce poor cross-protection against genetically diverse PRRSV.2 The objective of this study was to evaluate the level of cross-protection in nursery pigs vaccinated with Fostera~(TM) PRRSV against challenge with a contemporary, heterologous lineage 9 PRRSV field isolate.
