Nanoparticles have been widely utilized as building blocks for a realization of electrical, magnetic and optical devices so the strategy that guides specific nanoparticles precisely into the intended region is important. Various assemblies have been reported by modulating magnetic field, electric field and aerodynamic inertial force. In particular, Jacobs and Whitesides (2001) showed that the technology called “nanoxerography” could generate invisible charge patterns onto a dielectric surface by applying electric field to the dielectric material without changing the topology of substrate and oppositely charged aerosols were focused onto the charged region assisted by the electrostatic force.
