Recently, MoO3 has attracted attention in energy storage applications due to its high theoretical capacitance (1005 C/g). However, few studies have focused on capacitive behavior of M0O3 due to its naturally poor conductivity and rate capability, especially at high mass loading required to produce practically useful thick electrodes. This presentation provides on overview of our research focused on controlling structure, composition and particle morphology of MoO3 with the goal of increasing it energy storage capability [1-4].
