Expression of Regional Characteristics in Railway Stations-An Aura of 'Shu Elegance and Han Charm' of Chengdu: Chengdu East Railway Station

摘要

Railway stations are gateways to cities and important transport hubs of cities and their design shall reflect regional characteristics and urban culture to impart a sense of belonging to cities.In order to make railway stations an example of the perfect combination of transport functions, characteristics of the present era and regional culture, taking the Chengdu East Railway Station as an example, this article discusses how "Shu Elegance and Han Charm" are integrated into station buildings,which is of great practical significance for innovations in and the development of station buildings.
