摘要

This paper presents a direct coupled C slot loaded microstrip antenna which can yield wider bandwidth for WLAN/WiMax applications. The different antenna geometries are simulated through IE3D Zeland simulation software for the comparative analysis of bandwidth. The recent development technology of wireless internet access applied to the WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) frequency bands in the range 2.40-2.50 GHz has forced demand for dual-band antennas, which can be implemented in stationary and mobile devices. The proposed antenna has dual frequency band having fractional bandwidth 3.38% (1.392-1.44 GHz) and 69.5% (1.733-3.58 GHz) which is suitable WLAN/WiMax applications. The gain has been improved up to 5.11dBi, directivity 5.39dBi and efficiency 97.216%. The proposed directly coupled microstrip antenna fed by 50 Ω microstrip feed line.
