摘要

Printed wiring board(PWB)is the key component in the electronic item.For the safety reason,PWBs materials are required to meet defined flame retardancy standards such as UL 94-V0 rating[1].Epoxy resins(EP)are widely used as resin backbone for PWB base materials.Metal phosphinates are a new class of flame retardants.In the paper,EP containing zinc methylethyl phosphinate (Zn (MEP)) were prepared.The structure of Zn (MEP) was conformed with FTIR,1H NMR,31P NMR,XRF and XRD.The flame retardancy and thermal properties of Zn(MEP)/EP were analyzed by a limiting oxygen index(LOI),UL-94 test,TG,FTIR,SEM-EDX as well as DSC.Activation energy for the decomposition of sample was obtained using the Kissinger equation.
