1. Mechanical recycling of plastics have demonstrated a continuous growth in the last years due to commercial and sustainability aspects. 2. The choice of proper compatibilizer can increase utilization of recycled materials and/or improve the properties of current recycle streams. 3. There is ongoing research into expanding recycling know-how, including design of new compatibilizers and modifiers for biodegradeable polymers.
