Meta-organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent-organic frameworks (COFs), are new types of porous materials constructed by coordination bonds between metal clusters/organic bridging ligands and organic building units. These materials have shown significant potential for clean energy storage (H2, CH4) and CO2 capture and sequestration due to their rich topology, high Specific Surface Areas (SSAs), low densities, and tunable pore size. Unfortunately, no one reported PCF material can meet the requirement for the commercial application by now. Thus, developing technologies for improving the gas storage performance has become very urgent.
