Studies on the Relationship Between the Board of Director Network and the Adoption Likelihood of Corporate Governance Policies Based on Company Governance

摘要

This article studied and analyzed the effect of the board of director network on firm performance, executive compensation and adoption likelihood of corporate governance policies. On the basis of the establishment of a relationship between firms' network characteristics and the adoption likelihood of corporate governance policies. Using graph theory and topology of theoretical methods,our study shows a strong relationship between corporate governance policies and firm's network characteristics and we did not find any strong evidence for the hypothesis that network characteristics are related to firm performance.
