The basic military physical training is an important approach to improve the physique and master military techniques for national defense students. In this research, we investigated into the scientific basic military physical training methods for the national defense students, and provide a solid physical foundation for comprehensively improving military physical fitness and cultivating qualified military reserve personnel. Sixty-four students (male) from 2005 national defense of Wuhan University of Technology were tested and various physiological and biochemical indexes and training loading for national defenses were measured and monitored in 10week training period. Experimental data before and after basic military physical training were compared and analyzed. The results showed that the qualities of strength, speed, endurance, agility and flexibility of national defense students in experimental group who followed a basic military physical training program and were under monitoring during the training were significantly improved after training, indicating that the basic military training methods have been optimized. Moreover, testing results of the military basic physical fitness of national defense students have been effectively improved by implementing the military basic physical training according to a reasonable plan, and monitoring the scientific physical loading strength and the body function scientifically.
