According to the Vibration Spectrum characteristics of deceleration clutch, a method of deceleration clutch's automatic detection and fault diagnosis was proposed on the basis of Wavelet Packet Analysis. This work made use wavelet packet analysis to decompose and reconstruct the vibrating signal and obtained the abrupt information of vibration signals and the fault condition of deceleration clutch, therefore provide decision support for diagnosing the vibration of fault conditions. Practical application shows that the wavelet packet analysis technology not only can confirm catastrophe point of the signal, but also can confirm the fault degree and time in all frequency spectrum.The method is very effective to the Fault diagnosis of Deceleration Clutch.
