Application and Analysis of Cold-patch Asphalt Mixture in Daily Maintenance of Express Highway

Introduction on the cold-patch asphalt mixture is carried out, which is used for perennial asphalt pavement by cold-mix and cold-laid ( hereafter referred as cold-patch materials). Detailed descriptions on the cold-patch material composition, the formation process of mixture intensity, production procedure and repair of mixture pavement are specified. According to the frequently occurred damages, such as breakage and pit, for Changjiu highway, the cold-patch of pavement repair performance is summarized based on a large amount of in-situ observation and test research. The application effects of cold-patch materials and induced economic benefits are discussed.
