In this paper, a mathematical model of nickel electrode for single flow zinc-nickel battery is developed based on the previous models. Diffusion and migration in the electrolyte phase as well as proton diffusion and ohmic drop through the solid active material in the porous nickel electrode are all taken into account in this model. The most complicated segments, such as the beginning segment of charge process in which the diffusion does not reach steady state, can also be simulated using this model.
