摘要

One of the methods of producing active carbons having well-developed porous structure is known as the chemical activation method. It is emphasized in the literature that the majority of carbonaceous adsorbents produced by chemical activation feature larger homogeneity of the porous structure than those obtained in the processes of physical activation, which is not surprising taking into account the mechanisms of these processes. The most important parameters influencing the porous structure obtained in the process of chemical activation include the ratio of the quantity of the activator to the char quantity.
