摘要

This paper deals with the utilization of acoustic non-intrusive approach to detect the liquidlevel in closed pressure vessels. By using the transfer matrix means, the transmission of ultrasonic wave through the vessel's wall is investigated. The reflected echo intensity is obviously influenced by both the acoustic frequency and the interlayer medium in the nonintrusive ultrasonic liquid-level detection. For the purpose of obtaining a clear reflection echo signal and others information, the selection of acoustic frequencies is indispensable. The optimum frequency for the ultrasonic incidence wave is calculated, and the result is also validated by an experiment. In this paper, an effective technical approach is provided for this problem of the frequency selection in ultrasonic liquid-level measurement.
