摘要

Psychoacoustical models have been used extensively ithin audio coding applications over the past decades. Recently, parametric coding techniques have been applied to general audio and this has created the need for a psychoacoustical model that is specifically suited for sinusoidal modelling of audio signals. In this paper, we present a new perceptual model based on an external and middle ear model and on an appropriate critical band repartition following the two cascaded models : the Cambridge model wich is linear and the Munich one wich is non linear. In order to investigate this new design of a psychoacoustic model based on the proposed model, we proceed to some experimental results: the distribution curve of masking threshold for wave signal was calculated by utilizing the two different psychoacoustic models respectively, the Gammachirp analysis and the newest one based on the the cascaded model
