Influence on the lower tip vortices: tangles the 2 vortices & reduce suction and vorticity in vortex core. Increases lift and drag. SCALING EFFECTS (1:15 in 4m/s VS full scale in 15 kts). 10% difference in lift/drag & 11% difference of suction in upper tip vortex. Full similitude for 1:15 scale => wind speed 115 m/s!!!
