摘要

FLYING SHAPE ACQUISITION: Used for validation of RANS numerical model. Highlighted need for extremely accurate acquisition, in particular the angles. COMPARISON RANS / WIND TUNNEL. RANS model = accurate: less than 10% difference with force measurements. IMPORTANCE OF MODELLING THE HULL. Influences flow even at mid-span of mast. Influence on the lower tip vortices: tangles the 2 vortices & reduce suction and vorticity in vortex core. Increases lift and drag. SCALING EFFECTS (1:15 in 4m/s VS full scale in 15 kts). 10% difference in lift/drag & 11% difference of suction in upper tip vortex. Full similitude for 1:15 scale => wind speed 115 m/s!!!
