Simulating the Dynamics of Multimodal Coal Supply Chains on the Great Lakes - (PPT)

This presentation describes the development and use of a simulation model for a coal supply chain that links southern Indiana coal fields to an international port on the Great Lakes. Aspects and issues involved in the representation of detailed railroad operations in a simulation model are presented and numerous economic scenarios are discussed.
