(792)BOLOGNA TRANSLATION SERVICE: AN ENABLER FORINTERNATIONAL PROFILING AND STUDENT MOBILITY

Bologna Translation Service (BTS) is an Information and Communications Technology Policy SupportProgramme (ICT PSP) project funded by the European Union (EU), which specialises in the automatictranslation of study programmes. At the core of the BTS framework are several machine translation(MT) engines through which web-based translation services are offered. The fully integrated BTSarchitecture includes a translation engine coupling rule-based and statistical MT with automatic postediting(APE). In this paper, we first describe the motivating factors behind the provision of such aservice. Following this, we give an overview of the BTS framework as a whole, and provide a realworld use case scenario in which BTS MT services are exploited.
