ICT technologies and especially mobile phones rapid growth in the late 1990s, resulted in anexplosion in the use and popularity of the medium in the past decade (2000-2010). The aim of thisstudy is to investigate how patterns of mobile phone use, by the students of primary education, isshaping their future use of mass media. Findings reveal that, the use of the mobile technology forinformation exchange and recreation defines a space of persistent connectivity, while at the same timestand as predictors on mobiles role as a resource for information. These findings shed new light on therole of mobile communication in defining media consumption trends from the future/current audiences.This highlights an emergent dimension that I introduce that of M-Media that will be characterized byincreased accessibility and characterize tomorrow media.
