The National System of Higher Education Technology in Mexico, make changes in the plans andcurricula updating them to start in 2008 with the competency, based educational model andconsequently, restructuring educational practices and initiates the development of new materialscontent to support their application in the classroom and skills development for the teaching-learningprocess.The aim of this paper is to integrate key elements for implementing the inter-relationship between thecontent, materials and skills. To do this, we analyze the context of the institution and the influence ofnew materials and contents in the development of skills in order to clarify the field and provideguidance to enable the teacher to plan lessons based on the type of tasks set out in the teachinglearningprocess of students.In the development of work emphasizes the importance of a teacher-training program to developeducational materials and computer technology, which aims to support the development of materialsbased on a set of principles and objectives of the contents that are required for skills development ofstudents as future professionals who are integrated in a competitive and changing. This is intended toestablish a relationship between the performance we expect from the student as a result of developingskills in regard to materials and content aspects involving the context, design and material planning.The paper concludes with the relationship between the content and materials with the skillsdevelopment of the learner, the modalities and methodology of the student and the teacher togetherwith the methods used for the acquisition of knowledge, to support the development of skills forteaching and learning process.
