This paper describes a statistical methodology for determining the priority expectations for groups ofstudents, on the basis of qualifications given to their teachers. The basic information is contained inthe file “Monitex” (monitoring expectations), which is sent to the directors with the results of theevaluations. With this characterization by means of the priority expectations groups, principals andteachers may apply better strategies and actions to meet the priority expectations of their differentgroups and receive a better evaluation. All of this to contribute to the continuous improvement of theteaching-learning process.This type of research puts in evidence that it is possible and necessary to take full advantage of theabundant quantitative information obtained from the teacher evaluations.The statistical analysis of variance of the semester evaluation of teachers, which lead us withstatistical basis, to identify the priority group expectations of students from each academic area. Theanalysis of variance, ANOVA;;carried out confirms that the priority expectations vary among thedifferent student groups.The “global” and “complemented” Monitex will permit directors and teachers to understand in a betterway the priority expectations of the different groups that form the different academic areas, andthereby implement the best “tailor made” strategies and actions to satisfy those priorities, thusimproving the perception of the teachers’ performance.
