摘要

Rapidly solidified amorphous ribbon-type filler metals (FMs) represent a promising approach for joining titanium and zirconium alloys. They offer a number of advantages - extremely high chemical and phase homogeneity, narrower melting and solidification ranges, "instantaneous" melting across the whole width and thickness of foils and outstanding ductility. Amorphous foils bend 180° without fracturing and thus accommodate complex joint geometries; they are ductile enough to be mechanically performed even in three-dimensional configurations. New rapidly solidified filler metals STEMET based on titanium and zirconium have been developed to join Ti and Zr alloys for any applications. Results of brazed joints tests are presented.
