摘要

To prevent the global wanning, reducing the amount of greenhouse effect gas emission is required. Over 90% of the greenhouse effect gas emission is CO_2 gas, and as shown in Fig. 1, the amount of CO_2 emission has slowly increased in recent years(1). Figure 2 shows the CO_2 emission classified by sector in Japan (2) The steel industry occupies 15% of the total, and this means that developing the technology of reducing CO_2 emission in steel industry can contribute stopping the global warming. Additionally, as reducing CO_2 emission means saving energy usage at steel plant, it leads to cost reduction of steel product.
