摘要

High quality sinter is required to sustain the extreme operating conditions and productivity of modem blast furnaces. This paper first reviews the relationship between sinter chemistry, structure and quality, and then experimentally examines the effect of sinter chemistry, including basicity (CaO/SiO_2), Al_2O_3, MgO and SiO_2, on the structure and quality of sinters prepared from the same blend components. The mechanisms leading to weak sinter strength are discussed in detail.
