摘要

The system of addition of (-) 10mm lime fines in raw mix of sintering at Sinter Plant -II in Durgapur Steel plant has been designed, developed and installed. The system is operating successfully since it's commissioning in February 2004. The size fraction and rate of lime fines addition in raw mix is very important parameter in achieving optimum productivity of Sintering Plant. It is successfully established that addition of (-) 10mm lime fines at the rate of 4 t/hr in raw mix of sintering would yield an increased productivity up to a level of 1.45 t/m~2/hr. Addition of lime fines @ 20 Kg/t of sinter found to be the optimum for maximization of SP-II, DSP.
