摘要

As part of a study toward design of molecular assemblies composed of metal complexes having multi-redox active centers, we describe several assemblies using 1′,1′′′-biferrocenediboronic acid (1) and its one-electron oxidized form, 1′,1′′′-biferroceniumdiboronic acid (1~+) as an organobimetallic building blocks. We also describe the charge transfer properties and charge distributions in the resulting hydrogen-bonded assemblies and macrocyclic tetraferrocenyl boronate ester.
