I am particularly happy to address you on the occasion of this the Third Intenational Workshop on Nuclear Fission and Fission Product Spectroscopy. Happy, first of all, given that this is the third of the series launched in Biarritz in 1996 and continued in Seyssins in 1998. For, in this field, continuity and tenacity are essential.
