摘要

Lubricant oils are major lubricants used in machinery of every kind to lubricate mechanical rubbing units so as to reduce their friction and wear. At the present time, lubricating oils are mainly prepared from petroleum oil with introduction of a great amount of performance-enhancing additives. Hydrocarbon lubricants are not biodegradable and thus can amass in the environment if they are deserted as waste oils. In the waste lubricating oils, some constitutes especially the aromatics are poisonous and hence can do harm to the environment if they get into it. Currently, a certain portion of waste lubricating oil can enter the environment without treatment through any uncontrollable way and the hydrocarbon substances will exist for many years in the environment. So it is of significance to develop biodegradable lubricating oil to protect the ecological environment.
