On the influence of alloy compositions on martensitic transformations in NiTi and NiTiCu shape memory alloys

The present work aims for a better understanding of compositional effects on the martensitic transformation in NiTi and NiTiCu. Alioys with precisely controlled compositions were prepared using an optimized arc melting procedure. Samples were characterized through thermal analysis and electron microscopy.
