摘要

Nitrite is formed as an intermediate product either during bacterial nitrification of ammonia or bacterial denitrification of nitrate. The purpose of the present study was to examine the effects of different nitrite-N concentrations on the immune response of L. vannamei and its susceptibility to V. alginolyticus. L. vannamei juveniles were examined for the for the immune parameters and susceptibility against Vibrio alginolyticus when shrimp were exposed to different concentrations. Total haemocyte count, phenoloxidase activity, and respiratory burst (release of superoxide anion) were examined.
