摘要

An experimental investigation of M20-grade of concrete for evaluating the effect of flyash and silica fume on the static modulus of elasticity has been performed and presented in the present paper. A design mix of M20-grade of concrete having proportions of 1:1.40:3.40, w/c = 0.52 has been chosen as a reference mix. Partial replacement of Ordinary Portland Cement with a constant 7% silica fume and with a varying 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% flyash has been incorporated. In this mix proportion, blast furnace slag has been utilized as coarse aggregates in place of conventional stone chips. The stress-strain curves for flyash-silica fume concrete at 56-day maturity have been plotted and analysed. The test results show that the static modulus of elasticity of concrete mix containing up to 22% flyash plus silica fume is comparable to that of the designed mix of M20-grade of concrete.
