PROBLEMS OF THE HCFC REFRIGERANTS REPLACEMENT USING HFCs IN SPAIN. EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS IN LABORATORY

The international regulations like the 2037/2000 of the European Parliament and of the Council, are forcing the replacement of HCFC refrigerants with other ones like HFC and natural fluids to prevent ozone depletion and greenhouse effect. Progressively prohibition of production and use of those substances have motivated us to study the consequences of the refrigerants replacement at the industrial cooling and air conditioning facilities still working in Spain with HCFCs. In order to meet this objective the performance of a single state cycle using R-22 and R-134a as refrigerants are analyzed in a wide operation range. The main results of these experiments are presented and analyzed in this work.
