摘要

Conducting polymers (CPs) are a group of electroactive polymers which actuates through volume or shape change accompanied with the transport of ions and solvents when potential is applied. CP actuators are regarded as a promising candidates especially for biomedical applications on account of their inherent biocompatibility and miniaturization, flexibility, lightness, and large strain at low voltage. As CPs are actuated by the transport of dopant ions and solvents to maintain net charge during the redox reaction, the actuators developed earlier were operable in liquid electrolytes.
