Digital integrated circuits - a source of electromagnetic emission in automotive systems

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is playing an important role concerning engineering efforts and costs, especially in automotive systems. Since the number of microcontrollers and other digital circuits applied in automotive system environments, their clock frequency, port speed, and the number of signal lines is increasing, electromagnetic emission (EME) of such integrated circuits (ICs) becomes even more critical.
