摘要

A new approach using a discrete model was previously developed to analyze the power transmitting mechanisms of a CVT using a dry hybrid V-belt. However, it was assumed that the pulley was rigid in that approach. In this paper, the analysis isextended to consider the effect of pulley deformation due to compressive forces from blocks. The effects of pulley deformation on power transmission, such as pulley thrusts and belt trajectories in two pulley grooves were analyzed. From the numericalcalculations, it was revealed that the pulley deformation appreciably affected the power transmitting efficiency of the belt.
